Alexa Argerious Rodriguez, Esq., is a seasoned family law attorney with over 17 years of experience dedicated to advocating for the best interests of children. As the founder of AAR Family Law, PLLC, Alexa brings a unique blend of legal acumen, compassion, and unwavering commitment to supporting families through life’s most difficult transitions.
A fourth-generation Tampa native and graduate of H.B. Plant High School, Alexa earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Central Florida in 2003. At UCF, she was recognized as a LEAD Scholar and actively involved in campus leadership through Zeta Tau Alpha, the Order of Omega, and the Rho Lambda National Honor Society.
Following a year working at her father’s record label, Alexa pursued her Juris Doctor at Stetson University College of Law, where she earned a Certificate of Concentration in Elder Law. At Stetson, she served as Deputy Chief Ambassador and held leadership roles in the Real Property Law Association and the Stetson Republicans. Her commitment to community service earned her the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award. Her legal foundation was further shaped by judicial internships with Chief Judge Christopher Sabella and General Magistrate Sean Cadigan, as well as certified internships at Bay Area Legal Services and the Florida Attorney General’s Office in the Children’s Legal Services Division.
From 2008 to 2022, Alexa served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Children’s Legal Services Division, representing the Department of Children and Families in civil cases involving abuse, abandonment, and neglect. Over her tenure, she prosecuted thousands of cases and tried more than 100 non-jury trials, including complex termination of parental rights matters. In 2015, she was appointed lead attorney for the Family Dependency Treatment Court Division, where she supported families battling substance abuse. Her innovative work in this role was published in the Children and Youth Services Review in 2020.
Alexa joined The Solomon Law Group, P.A. in 2022, where she continued practicing family law with a focus on divorce, custody, paternity, and guardianship. She also served as a Guardian ad Litem in Chapter 61 proceedings, advocating for children in high-conflict disputes.
In 2025, Alexa founded AAR Family Law, PLLC to provide a more compassionate, child-centered approach to family law. Her practice is known for its expertise in complex custody cases and its dedication to guiding families through emotionally charged legal matters with clarity, empathy, and integrity.
Alexa lives in Tampa with her husband, Damien, and their son, Will. She remains deeply involved in her community and is an active member of the Junior League of Tampa, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Federalist Society, and the Stann Givens Family Law Inn of Court.
